Rooted in Seed

by Rev. Sangye Hawke

Settle into stillness.

Breathe.

Picture a single seed—small, whole, full of potential.

Now imagine that seed buried in earth.

Darkness. Pressure. Stillness.

Then: a crack.

Something gives.

The seed splits—not to die, but to become.

Ask yourself:

“What has broken me open?”

“What cracked in me that allowed something true to grow?”

“What roots have taken hold because of that breaking?”

“What part of me is still growing, still pushing toward light?”

“If I am a seed—what kind of plant am I becoming?”

“Like the seed, I hold within me a capacity I do not yet fully see.

My breaking was not the end.

It was the beginning of rooting.

And from those roots, I rise.”

Be well and safe, Beloveds.
