Our elections have concluded with 88 members voting this year, an increase from 74 in 2022 and 63 in 2021. After a rigorous process, we have nominated and elected outstanding individuals who will play key roles in shaping the future of our organization and community. Tomi Fatunde – 1st Vice President
Tomi Fatunde brings a wealth of experience and a passion for community engagement. With a strong background in leadership and advocacy, Tomi has consistently demonstrated a commitment to promoting inclusivity and driving positive change. After serving the last year as our Acting 1st Vice President, we are thrilled to have Tomi for a full term. She will be instrumental in leading our efforts and ensuring the success of our organization’s mission.
Rev. Carol Thomas Cissel – 2nd Vice President
Rev. Carol Thomas Cissel is a respected minister within our community, known for her unwavering dedication to social justice and equality. With a background in pastoral ministry and community organizing, Rev. Cissel has the expertise to inspire and mobilize our members towards transformative action. Her vision and leadership will undoubtedly propel our organization forward.
Michelle Venegas-Matula – Secretary
Michelle Venegas-Matula will continue to share her organizational gifts. With a passion for building relationships and a meticulous attention to detail, we are excited to have Michelle onboard for a full term as our Secretary. Her commitment to transparency and open communication will foster an environment of trust and accountability within our organization.
Nico Van Ostrand – Outreach Coordinator
Nico Van Ostrand is a dynamic and dedicated individual with a genuine enthusiasm for community outreach. With a strong background in community organizing and a growing understanding of our organization’s values, Nico will be central in expanding our reach and fostering meaningful connections with current and prospective members.
We are confident that these individuals will bring fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and unwavering dedication to their respective positions. Their diverse backgrounds and experiences will enrich our organization, driving us forward on our shared journey towards progress and impact.
